Wordless Wednesday

My mom hand quilted this beautiful quilt for our first son. This is the first time I've thought to have it photographed! However, we all know what the most beautiful part of the pic is: fat, lumpy, happy, sweet Lincoln! I can't believe that it's been 6 months since he shocked us with his 10lb 14oz birth. He certainly hasn't gotten any smaller - they just grow tooooooo fast..... *sigh*

I love chubby babies! His face is so bright - it will be fun to see that seed of a personality grow and develop.

What a wonderful photo, Andrea. Your little boy looks so lovely sitting right up there. Our first three kids all have quilts made by a friend of Jeff's, actually his 2IC from his last army posting. She's out of the army now and delights to bless her family and friends with her scrapbooking and quilting efforts, as well as her culinary prowess. These three quilts which she has made for our kids are very precious gifts. The first photo we have of Joshua's I'm holding the quilt up, with Joshua inside me (I was about 8mo preg at the time). So funny to think back to how easy life was then. Thanks for spurring my memory.
