Wordless Wednesday - Jefferson (6.5yo)

Jefferson arrived 4 weeks early (9/01) and was large (7lbs 12oz) and healthy - not quite considered a preemie. However, his liver seemed to need a little kick to get working. Putting him back in the hospital at 5 days old just for light treatment for jaundice stressed me out terribly! I can't imagine how those moms of preemies get through their time in the hospital! Remembering this reminds me to be thankful for my kids' health and the opportunity to raise and homeschool them!

Both of my boys had jaundice but never had to be hospitalized for it. I know it's scary but you are right, we need to be so thankful for their heatlh. You have a beautiful boy there!

Wow he was good sized for being early. I can not imagine what he would have weighed had he stayed in there! I am glad to see he is healthy and strong! It is so true we need to be thankful for our kids health and for their wellbeing

Happy WW!

They grow so fast. All of mine had jaundice also, but not guess not that bad because they didn't have to have the light treatment, I was just told to sit them infront of a window where alot of sun comes though. My youngest did end up in the hospital with a high fever when he was 10 days old they kept him for a week doing spial taps and all sort of test and had him on IV meds.. and that scared me to death.. So I'm sure this stressed you out... Praise God for healthy children.
Happy WW

What a handsome boy you have! Both of my babies had to spend time in the hospital too, isn't it just the hardest thing ever? Great photos, happy WW!

My oldest had to have the light treatment and it just made me bawl. Eventhough she was perfectly fine.

What a handsome boy! Love that smile and those bright eyes.
Hate having babies in the hospital. We've been through that and it is always a sucker-punch. But the Lord is good; His mercy endures forever.

What a cutie ~ awesome eyelashes!!! My first daughter was a preemie too (6-1/2 weeks early), but she's a happy, healthy 6 yr old these days as well!

Thanks for the compliments on my blog today! Yes, all my WW posts are pictures I've taken. (Except the one or two cartoons I've posted in the past!) I enjoy taking pictures and every now and again, I get lucky and one turns out great!!
