Wife to a wonderful and humerous computer geek, I stay at home with our five children (11, 9.5, 6.5, 4.5 & 20m)and homeschool in the classical & slightly CM style. I love the Lord Jesus and am glad to be used by Him to train up my little blessings in His truth. God has given me organizational skills and a great enjoyment of music and the outdoors. I love to scrapbook any time I possibly can (24/7 if I could)!
This blog is a place for me to post thoughts and plans about our journey in educating our children. I hope also that it will serve to remind myself and others of the blessings of raising & educating our children. For this reason, we have named our homeschool after Psalm 127:3. Our prayer is that our home may be a place of living for Christ, learning to follow Him and growing a legacy of His truth that spans many generations! May I never forget in the tough days, that I am a steward to the most beautiful gift that God could give us - children!
So much for karate class! He's only been going for two weeks and already they're beatin' him up! (No, seriously - he's just not the most coordinated kiddo and managed to sprain an ankle when turning) Poor kid was just trying to keep up with the black belts!
Andrea, My son is really enjoying his Karate lessons that he's been doing for ... oh, five weeks now! He comes home every time and tries to show me moves and I just have to go in the other room and laugh he's so cute. I hope he's up and at 'em soon. ~Sharon from Equip Academy
OUCH! That doesn't look fun. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I wanted to have 1 of our children at home but my the birthing center was a stretch for my husband. I had a great experience though. From the looks of your blog, you seem to be a very organized homeschooler. I'm impressed.
I just read your comment on my homeschooling blog. It's nice to meet you! My name is Andrea too. (Pronounced On-dree-a) Yeah, I went through the phase where I was mad that I still had to handhold my oldest (he's 14 now), but after 5 years have accepted it. It does get easier though...I wish the darn learning curve with homeschooling wasn't so big! It took me three and a half years and some change to finally not obsessing and being miserable about it a lot of the time. But you're organized, so you're already ahead of the game! That makes a big difference.
Poor little guy! I am so sad for him. We will be praying for a quick recovery for sure. :)
Also, I answered your question about Spanish in the comments on my blog. Let me know if you have any other questions and I'll be happy to help in any way I can!

I hope he feels better soon. I've sprained my ankle so many times I don't bother going unless I think it may actually be broken.
Still, it looks like he has a good attitude about himself.
Happy WW!
It's always the small things that cause the biggest problems! My middle son broke his leg last year going down a slide!
Hope he feels better soon!
